Crimson City Electric is based in Puyallup and handles panel upgrades, generator installation, EV charger installs, rewiring, repairs and troubleshooting across the Seattle metro area. In a metro area this big, homes from very different decades sit a few minutes apart. A house built in 1925 and a house built in 2015 need different electrical work, even on the same street. We build our pages by neighborhood, using Census numbers on home age and type, so you can see what is likely behind the walls where you live.
Where We Work
Our home turf is the stretch of Pierce County around South Hill, Puyallup, Frederickson and Clover Creek. From there we work out through Tacoma, Lakewood, University Place, Fife, Federal Way, Bonney Lake and Auburn. If you're in one of these places, you aren't a long drive for us. Every town on the list below is a place we serve, and the four neighborhood pages go deeper on what we see in each.

About the Seattle Metro Area
King, Pierce and Snohomish counties make up the Seattle metro area. It had 4,018,762 people in the 2020 census, which makes it the 15th largest metro area in the country. Tacoma and Pierce County are part of it.
Pierce County, where we're based, is the second most populous county in Washington, with 921,130 residents in 2020. The county was created on December 22, 1852, and named for President Franklin Pierce. Tacoma is the county seat and the largest city. Mount Rainier, the highest point in the state at 14,410 feet, is in the county, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord is the largest public employer, with about 60,000 military and civilian jobs.
A lot of homes went up here during different growth waves, from old homes near the older downtowns to new subdivisions on the edges. Windstorms also knock down trees and power lines across Pierce County, and outages can last hours or days. That mix is why a panel that's fine in one neighborhood can be a problem two miles away, and why we plan every job around the home in front of us.
What We Do in Every Area We Serve
Why Seattle Metro Homeowners Call Crimson City Electric
You get a free estimate and a straight price before any work starts. We never charge a trip fee just to show up. Our team is led by a licensed Journeyman Electrician with 18 years in the trade, and we're licensed, bonded and insured under Washington contractor license CRIMSCE772LK.
We're a family owned and Black owned business, and we work in these neighborhoods ourselves. Read what your neighbors say in our reviews, or meet De Andre Johnson.
A lot of electrical companies working this area send whoever is free from an office somewhere else. We'd rather you reach a local company that already knows the answer to why so many older homes still have fuse boxes and why newer homes run out of panel space once the EV charger shows up.
Electrician Near Me
Searching for an electrician near you shouldn't mean scrolling through a dozen listings hoping one of them calls back. Crimson City Electric is based in Puyallup, so when you look for an electrician near you around South Hill, Puyallup, Frederickson or Clover Creek, we're close.
Whether you need a panel upgrade, a generator, an EV charger, or someone to figure out why a circuit keeps tripping, you get the same thing: a straight answer about what's wrong and what it costs, before we pick up a tool. For power outages and sparking panels, we offer 24/7 emergency service.
FAQ
Areas Served FAQ
Do you charge extra to travel between towns?
No. We never charge a trip fee. You get a free estimate first, so you know the price before any work starts.
How fast can you get to my area?
Call us at 425-648-7953 and we'll give you an honest window instead of a vague guess. For power outages and sparking panels, we offer 24/7 emergency service.
Do you work on older homes with outdated electrical systems?
Yes. Fuse boxes, small panels, aluminum branch wiring and old knob and tube wiring are all part of the job in older homes. We'll tell you honestly whether a repair is enough or whether it's time for a real upgrade.
Can I get a quote before you come out?
Call and describe what's going on, and we'll tell you what it likely involves. A final price comes after we've seen the panel or the wiring, since guessing over the phone rarely helps anyone.
Which neighborhoods have their own page?
South Hill, Puyallup, Frederickson and Clover Creek. Each page covers the homes in that neighborhood, the problems we see most, and the permit rules that apply.
Do you do generator and EV charger installs everywhere you serve?
Yes. We install generators and EV chargers in every area on this page. Call us and we'll talk through your home.
